The Great Lakes are truly unique.  Though they are composed entirely out of freshwater, they are as vast and dynamic as our oceans.  Understanding the true nature and characteristics of the world's largest freshwater system requires knowledge not only gained from the surface but also from below.

The API Dive team is composed of American Academy of  Underwater Science (AAUS) and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Scientific Working Divers who are published scientific researchers and certified in Dive Accident Management.  The tenet behind API's safe, accurate and cost effective data gathering is quite simple, by employing trained observers and researchers, who use state-of-the-art equipment, we take the randomness out of our sampling process, leaving you with an accurate and cost effective understanding of  your underwater issues.
